“Downtown Freddie Brown” earned his Legend status far before joining the KUDO Legends family. Fred began his career in the National Basketball Association as the first player drafted by the Seattle Sonics in the 1971 NBA draft and was the sixth player taken overall. As a shooting guard, Fred spent his entire 13-year career in the NBA with the Supersonics. Those 13 years earned him the longest tenured “career Sonic.” After retiring as a professional athlete, Fred had a successful career in banking at Bank of America as a Senior Vice President. Now, Fred is not only a KUDO Legend but he is a member of our Board and a Special Advisor.
